Welcome to the Video page for Southwest Florida College's Distance Education Program. The navigational links on the left and at the top of this page will provide you with the resources you will need to begin your online experience. In addition to a detailed Video Orientation Tutorial, which can help walk you through the basic components of all online courses at SWFC, there are also video tutorials for accessing Noodle Tools and the L.I.R.N. sites.

Videos for Online Orientation

Before you begin taking an online course at Southwest Florida College, you are required to complete the following Orientation Videos. We have broken the videos down into four individual links for more ease in streaming as well as for students who may need a refresher on certain areas of online functionality. If you are using the training site as a new student, you will need to watch all four (4) videos to familiarize yourself with all aspects of the SWFC learning environment. Please note that you will need to complete your campus quiz (The link is found on the Quizzes tab) to complete the orientation process:

Videos for the CampusVue Student Portal, eCollege LMS, and Google Apps Email System

Listed below are the videos, in order, that will walk you through the student portal setup and navigation, retrieval of emails from the Google Apps student email system, and finally accessing your online courses through the college's LMS (Learning Management System).

  1. Access the Access CampusVue Portal video here. This link will demonstrate how to access the student portal utilized by SWFC.
  2. Access the Navigate CampusVue Portal video here. This link will demonstrate how to navigate within the student portal utilized by SWFC.
  3. Access the Google Apps Email System video here. This link will demonstrate how to access your student email account.
  4. Access the eCollege LMS video here. This link must be viewed by all students who are taking their first online course at SWFC. Upon completion, students must submit an online quiz (on the Quizzes tab) to demonstrate that the material was understood. The quiz requirements are explained within the video.

Note: These videos require Adobe Flash Player to be installed on your computer prior to viewing. Please visit the individual vendor's website for download and install instructions. In addition, you will need speakers to hear the audio portions.
